Main responsibilities

Voyage Controlling & Accounting

  • Assist operations and claims team to ensure data in IMOS system is accurate and updated
  • Provide information on Profit & Loss variations
  • Manage and generate control reports from the IMOS system for individual operators
  • Assist operators in solving issues on IMOS system in collaborate with the super user
  • Assist claims team with alarm reports to manage time bar issues for all claims and receivables
  • Support accounting, finance and business analyst with understanding the figures and assist to explaining any changes on the IMOS system
  • Responsible to inform operations department about monthly closure deadlines and ensuring that data in the IMOS system is correct for the monthly closure
  • Evaluate errors related to the monthly closure for potential accruals (depending on materialism and reversal next month) in the IMOS system
  • Ensure that all vessels are updated with latest itinerary on the IMOS system
  • Handle voyage accounting related matters
  • Responsible to check DA Desk funding

Process Control

  • Responsible to monitor key processes and alert process owners on process failures
  • Assist in internal and external audits
  • Manage master data in IMOS system, including setting up vendors, customers and other data-list items
  • Handle IMOS system process in relation to release of new updates including but not limited to managing and testing functions
  • Liaise with IT team to manage IMOS system issues

Ideal candidate : qualifications and requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Maritime Studies or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience with 2 years in a claims / controls environment
  • Strong numeracy skills and possess commercial acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work well independently and as a team player
  • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
